This privacy notice for SolTip ("we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services. SolTip is a non-custodial interface built on the Solana blockchain.
Independent Data Controllers: When you support a Creator, your personal information (name and message) is shared with that Creator. In these cases, the Creator acts as an independent data controller. SolTip is not responsible for how Creators handle data outside our service.
2. What Information Do We Collect?
Information voluntarily disclosed to us
We collect personal information that you provide when you register for an account, express interest in our services, or participate in activities on the platform.
- Creator Account Data: Username, email address, display name, and bio information.
- Financial Data: Public Solana wallet addresses. We never request or store private keys.
- Supporter Contributions: Names and messages provided at the time of a tip.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit or navigate SolTip, such as your IP address, browser characteristics, operating system, and usage patterns. This is primarily used for security, internal analytics, and to maintain the operation of our services.
3. How Do We Process Your Information?
We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, including:
- Facilitating account creation and authentication.
- Delivering and observing on-chain tipping transactions.
- Responding to user inquiries and offering support.
- Protecting our Services from fraud or malicious activity.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how our visitors use the platform. This helps us monitor performance and improve the user experience. This data is collected in an aggregated way that does not identify you personally.

- With Creators: When a Supporter sends a tip, their provided name and message are shared with the Creator to facilitate the social interaction.
- Service Providers: We may share data with third-party vendors who perform services for us, such as Helius (for blockchain webhooks) and Supabase (for database hosting).
- Business Transfers: We may share information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition.

Our servers are primarily located in the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the US, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in our facilities and by those third parties with whom we share your information.
